    NATE RUVIN

    Songwriting & Production

    Nate Ruvin is an LA-based Songwriter/Producer/Musician, originally from Milwaukee, WI. In a variety of roles, Nate has worked on music with/by a wide array of artists ranging from Midwest favorites (Chicken P, Kenny Hoopla, Munch Lauren, The Girl) to members of The Beach Boys, America, and The Righteous Brothers. Recently, Nate was tasked with co-producing the officially released version of the final Phil Spector record, "Crying For John Lennon" by Hargo. Music that Nate contributed to has received international radio play, and has charted on DSPs and MediaBase.

    History Of Modern Music Production

    Explore the history of Music Production, learning about the artistry of the legendary producers. 'Studio Wizardry' Demonstration.

    Day 3

    Solo Writing & Co-Writing Methods

    A deep dive on different types of songwriting scenarios & partnerships. Songwriting Workshop #2.

    Day 4

    Building An Arrangement / Choosing A DAW

    Learn how to build an arrangement from demo to masterpiece. Learn about the various Digital Audio Workstations and which is right for you.

    Day 5

    Beatmaking / AI Tools

    Beatmaking Demonstration from an industry producer. Learn how to use powerful A.I. tools to enhance your songwriting and production.

    Recording & Mix Engineering

    Jacob Stewart is an LA-based Mixing & Tracking Engineer with over 7.5 billion credited streams. Jacob has won Grammys for his contributions to "Coco Chanel" by Eladio Carrion (feat. Bad Bunny) and Kendrick Lamar's "GNX" album. He has been credited on three RIAA platinum records and one gold album through his work with Guns N' Roses, Future, Yeat, Kendrick Lamar and more. Jacob is also the bassist, songwriter, and co-producer in The Relative Minimum, an LA-based metal band.

    Basics of Using & Recording in Pro Tools

    Learn the basics of Pro Tools recording: track types, audio files, the smart tool, etc. Learn about plugins, groups & templates.

    Day 2

    Being in a Session

    'Studio Etiquette' Discussion. Learn about running/participating in a studio session.

    Day 3

    Live Session Demo

    Experience a real studio session engineered by Jacob, with a guest professional recording artist.

    Day 4

    Vocal Production & Editing

    Learn the difference between lead vocals, ins & outs, and ad libs. Learn about edits, fades, clip gain, and comping. Basic harmonies and stacks. 'Melodyne' Demonstration.

    Day 5

    Hands-On Recording

    Students record and get experience — learn by doing. Q&A as we go. Edit all. Mix down, bounce.
